Actual Nasbulance Wish List:
Just talking out loud, I'd be interested in a vehicle from 1996 or newer
that has an OBD-II connector on it. This might exclude diesels, and I
don't want to sacrifice mileage for telemetry. For years now, I've been
thinking of cool electronics to add to the Nasbulance:
Front and rear video cameras we can watch while inside bored to death on
the ride from the northeast to Phoenix. Even a roof-mounted turret
camera that we can control. Even a camera on the hood facing the cab so
people can see us driving!
GPS info uploaded to nasbulance.com, so people can watch our progress like
those flight tracker websites.
GPS navigation
CarPC
- Wi-fi access give and take
Security system
Music Jukebox and/or Satellite radio
Radar detector(s)
FLIR display
DVD player and screen(s) for "Days of Thunder"
OBD-II telemetry where possible.
Millon+ candlepower spotlights, built-in and hand-held.
Proximity detection like ford edge
Knight Rider lights
Other stuff:
A simple little johnny system for ease of en-route relief and disposal.
Kegerator type system.
Generator (at least a device that sounds and smells like one)
Solar power
Sturdy roof platform
Cell phone antenna boost
Dry-ice machine. Yes, you read that right, if you read this far, Mo.
Might be tricky having CO2 tanks on-board. Could have implications on
driving routes.
A good trailer hitch that can pull Simoneau's Air Stream or equivalent.

The best idea yet: Turn the Nasbulance into the Nasbulinternetcafe!
The second best idea: A modular system whereas the Nasbulance can be
easily converted into the SS Nasboat, for family vacations on Lake
Mohave.
